WOWZER!! 16,000 views and still going strong!

So since I uploaded my Shopkins Season 2 Play-doh surprise video 2 weeks ago it has been steadily going up in views, last week it peaked at just over 2000 views and I thought it had finished attracting attention. Well yesterday I woke up to find that it had hit 8000 views - out of nowhere! I was over the moon, my video that I thought had already passed it's expiration time had a huge rebirth and I was gaining subscribers from it, or so it seems. My subscribers had shot up from 400 to just over 500 in only a few days!! I was interested to see whether this video was going to carry on as it had been for the past few days or slow back down to a couple of views a day, so I made a point of checking that video throughout the day and noticed it was getting more and more views quite rapidly infact by the time I went to bed at 11pm I had just seen it tick over to 11,014 views!! I was astonished to say the least.

I woke up and checked the video again and noticed it had gone up even further to 14,000 and at this exact moment (1pm) the video is closing in on 17,000 views and I have gone up from a little over 500 subscribers a week ago to almost 700.

I never imagined that within less than 4 months of me starting a channel I would have a video at 17,000 views within 2 weeks of uploading it and I never imagined we would have 500 subscribers at this point let alone closing in on the 1000 milestone.

Check the video out here:

I am now working on another play doh surprise video and I would love to think this one could do as well as the Shopkins one, keep your eyes peeled.

Disney Frozen Funko Pocket Pop!

The whole planet seems to still be caught up in the Frozen hysteria and I feel like a little girl again whenever I see a new piece of merchandise with everyone's favourite snowman plastered all over it.
I recently went on one of my regular toy hauls for Funko mystery minis and My Little Pony products. I had literally just walked through the doors and something blue, white and adorable caught my eye - I was like a magpie seeing the silver top of a milk bottle glistening in the morning sun. I rushed straight over to find something that I hadn't expected to find just yet...

I was under the impression that these new Funko Pocket Pop! tins weren't released until after Christmas so I immediately picked one up and felt warm and fuzzy. These super cute pops come in a sweet little collectors tin and there is one of each Elsa, Anna and Olaf.

I got home and straight away got my camera and equipment out to open them for the world to see.

You can watch my unboxing video here.

I am so impressed with the detail on these super cute pocket sized funko pops. Olaf even has a sparkling effect which makes him look like he is actually made of snow glistening in the winter sunshine.

I cannot wait for the other tin sets to be released, especially the My Little Pony set. I believe they are to be released in January. There is also a Walking Dead set, a Game of Thrones set and DC Batman, Joker and Harley Quinn set.

I have been a Funko fan for quite some time now and I can honestly say these teeny tiny cuties are a fantastic addition to the Funko Pop! vinyl figure family.

Bargain My Little Pony Toy Haul

Over the past 2 days I have gone My Little Pony crazy here. Upon ectering my local Home Bargains store I noticed they had a number of My Little Pony Equestria Girls Rainbow Rocks products on the shelves. I have recently become quite addicted to MLP so finding them in a discount store made my day. So what did I get..

Our first doll we purchased was Rainbow Dash. This doll's RRP is £12.99, it is currently on sale in a few toy stores for around £9 but I didn't pay anywhere near that... I got this doll for a massive £3.99!!!

We also picked up Twilight Sparkle and DJ Pon-3 which also retail at £12.99 each and again are on sale at around £9.00. These 2 dolls were also a massive £3.99 each in Home Bargains.

Then we found the double pack containing Sonata Dusk and Aria Blaze which retails in the UK at £29.99. Again this set is currently on sale in most toy stores at around £18 - Did I pay anything like that!? Well... no, not exactly - this set was reduced to £6.99!!

We then found the Trixie Lulamoon deluxe edition which comes with a hair extension, guitar and brush. This doll retails at £21.99 but I paid a little less for her - I got a nice little bargain and purchased this doll for £6.99!

Finally - this has got to be the best deal ever!! I have been looking at the Rainbow Rocks stage for a while now and recently saw it reduced from its RRP of £44.99 to £24.99. I was extremely tempted to pick it up for that price as it comes complete with a Pinkie Pie Rainbow Rocks doll. Well I am glad I didn't as yet again this set was in my local Home Bargains for the amazing price of £9.99!!!! a massive £35 reduction - this stage is still selling in toy stores at retail price!
So all in all I managed to get £135.94 worth of My Little Pony Equestria Girls Rainbow Rocks products for the absolute bargain price of £35.94 - a saving of £100!!!

Please check out my video showing this awesome MLP Haul and keep an eye on our channel to see these dolls in their own videos soon.

It's a very Merry Momiji Christmas here :)

As some of you may know I am a huge Momiji doll collector, at last count I had 197 of them and I have acquired more since. One of my newest videos on my YouTube channel is of my newest 2 dolls. These are the annual Limited Edition Christmas release dolls and this year we have the super cute Pipaluk who is all snug in her winter coat, funky scarf and comes complete with a little sledge which is removeable.

We also have the adorable Secret Santa who comes complete with her super sweet Santa outfit and is holding a white beard

These dolls are available from the Momiji website and are limited to 1000 pieces of each doll.

These Momiji dolls come in super cute festive noodle boxes and each on the little cuties have their own unique likes which add to their cuteness and personality.

Below is our unboxing video review of these two super cute Christmas additions to my ever growing Momiji family.

Making Shopkins jewellery gifts

Today we decided to make some super cute Shopkins necklaces with a few of our duplicates. If you want to make your own all you will need is:
Shopkins of your choice,
Screw bails,
Pendant bails,
Glue,
Pliers,
Chain or ready made necklaces
and an organza bag to make a super cute gift.
You can watch our tutorial video on our YouTube channel here

First you need to take one of the screw bails and hold between the pliers. Hold your Shopkin in the opposite hand to the pliers. Find the centre of the top and CAREFULLY push the tip screw into the top of the Shopkin and screw in to place, remove the screw bail to leave the hole.

Take your glue, I use E6000 but any good glue will work.
Holding the screw bail in the pliers, gently dip into a small amount of glue - remember less is more. You only need a small amount to hold the screw in place.

Screw the bail back into the hole that you have previously          made and leave your new Shopkins charm to dry.

You should have a super sweet little charm like this one.

Once the screw bail is set in place, take your pendant bail and attach to the ring at the top of your new Shopkins charm, making sure the bail is the right way around.

Then finally take your chain or necklace of
choice and attach the charm to it.

To make your necklace into a super cute gift simply pop the necklace into a sweet little organza bag and Hey Presto you have a super sweet, handmade with love Shopkins necklace to give to your BFF :)

Hunting for Shopkins Series 2!

So we know they are available in selected retailers in the US but I can't seem to find any information about a release date for here in the UK :(

I contacted Moose Toys a few weeks ago to ask when these would be released here in the UK and they put me in touch with the UK distributor who informed me "Series 2 will hit the stores in early December" YAY!!! so if you have children be prepared to be rushing out for some of these series 2 once they hit the stores!

So what is the deal with Shopkins??
Well, to many children (and a few adults like myself) these super cute little groceries are just too adorable to pass up on, you simply have to buy a single Shopkins Basket and squeal in excitement when you open the little yellow packet and see those cute little eyes looking up at you and you're hooked!! My first Shopkins experience came a few months ago and since then I have become totally addicted to their adorable little faces, also the thrill of possibly finding an elusive Limited Edition Shopkin is thoroughly addictive.
As well as the Shopkins Baskets which contain 2 surprise Shopkins you can also buy 5 packs with only one surprise Shopkin and 12 packs with 2 Surprise Shopkins - the 12 packs are guaranteed to include at least 1 of the Special Edition 'Frozen' Shopkins. You can also purchase Shopkins play sets which contain Exclusive Shopkins which aren't available anywhere else other than the sets. In series 1 you can buy the Shopkins Small Mart, large shopping trolley, bakery stand, fruit stand and a tin vending machine, each set comes with it's own exclusive Shopkins.
The little cuties are separated into small groups, each group contains a mixture of common, rare and ultra rare Shopkins which are super sparkly. The groups to series 1 are: Fruit and Veg, Pantry, Bakery, Sweet Treats, Dairy, Party Food, Health and Beauty, Frozen (Special Edition) and Limited Editions which are extremely hard to come across and from what I have heard they are numbered.
Series 2 seem to have continued with the super cute themes and even include fluffy baby themed Shopkins, you can have your own cute fluffy nappy :)

I will post more updates as and when I find information about series 2 :)

300 YouTube Subscribers!!!

Yesterday we reached our 300 subscriber milestone on my YouTube Channel :))

I have recently become self employed after my husband was signed off from work last year with a long term medical condition in which he needs a lot of support from me, so going out to get a 'regular job' wasn't a possibility for me. I have been putting every spare minute I get into my channel and hitting 300 subscribers has really helped boost my confidence in my channel. Not only did I achieve the subscriber milestone but we also passed 20,000 views on my channel too. I wish it was possible to personally thank each and every one of my viewers and subscribers and tell them how much it actually means to me.

As some of my subscribers from the beginning may have noticed I have upgraded my entire equipment over the past 6-8 weeks. I started by recording my videos on my mobile phone but as soon as the summer passed and the amount of natural light dropped to only a few hours I needed to upgrade everything. I purchased a new digital Camcorder after asking advice from another fantastic YouTube channel - Toy Review Land. I now use a Canon Legria hf R57 digital camcorder and I have also purchased a professional studio lighting kit, which means I can record in full 1080p HD quality.

I am very excited about the future of my channel and I am currently working on quite a few festive videos :))

Who is Surprise Egg and Toy Collector...

Hello everyone, my name is Sarah and I am Surprise Egg and Toy Collector. I live in Yorkshire, England with my husband and our 3 year old son. I started my YouTube channel towards the end of August 2014 primarily for my son as he watches endless toy channels on YouTube so I thought it would be cool if his Mummy could make some videos that included his own toys, and some of my own - even though I am a 30 something year old Mummy I still love playing with dolls and toys of all types. I have a huge Momiji doll collection and my hubby has a minimates collection that is close to rivaling my doll collections. I love all things pretty and kawaii, especially Hello Kitty so you will find lots of cute, kawaii videos on my channel.  You will also find things from the geeky side of me like our monthly Loot Crate subscription box, some special edition games and lots more.
