20,000 YouTube Subscribers !!!

Oh My Goodness!!!!

So this morning I woke up to another massive YouTube milestone for SETC!
We have hit 20,000 YouTube subscribers!!

We can't believe that in 12 months we have reached such an impressive milestone. When I started my YouTube channel the thought of having 1000 subscribers was something that I didn't think would happen for a very long time and here we are with just over 20k.

We would like to thank each and every one of our subscribers, viewers and fans. We really do appreciate every single one of you.

Tuesday 1 September 2015

It's been a while...

It has been so long since I updated this blog so I thought I should find a little time to get you guys up to speed.

We recently celebrated our first year on Youtube and I can't believe we are closing in on 20,000 subscribers! It has been such a crazy 12 months, but absolutely amazing at the same time. I have made some amazing friends along the way through my love of toys and I know for sure that we will remain very good friends with them all.

We celebrated our 1 year anniversary in the only way SETC knows how... with Play - doh. We made a giant Play Doh surprise cake (video attached below) and filled it with some of our favourite toys and collectibles that we have discovered over the past 12 months, including Moofi, Unicorno, My Little Pony and much, much more. Check it out, we had heaps of fun recording it.

We have so many ideas for new videos in the next 12 months and onwards and we are super excited about the future of SETC.

It has been a very rough ride for us on a personal level, we have had a number of illnesses and a lot of other personal issues but we have carried on putting out (what we believe is) great and enjoyable content.

The last 12 months have been amazing and we hope you can all be with us for the next 12 months - you can subscribe to our YouTube channel by clicking here :)

Pop In A Box - My very first one!

I have had a number of subscription boxes but have recently cancelled a lot of them as I was starting to fill up drawers with random bits and pieces that I was never going to use. So I was looking around for another subscription service as I do love having a surprise parcel arrive through my door every month and I love sharing it with all my lovely subscribers over on my YouTube channel

One of my very good friends, and fellow YouTuber - StopThatAnimation who is all the way over in the States told me about this Pop In A Box service as he knows I am a Funko fan. I had a look through their website and within a few hours I had subscribed!

Basically with PIAB (Pop In A Box) you choose the amount of pops you would like to receive: 1 pop is £8.49 and 6 pops is £49.44 per month plus £2.98 delivery for up to 6 pops!! You then have a section called "My Pop Collection" and what you do is you check through and mark any pops you already have as "I Have This" this will prevent you from ever receiving a duplicate pop from them. There is also a thumbs up/down system where you can give all the pops you would like a chance of receiving a big thumbs up and all the pops you really don't want to receive a thumbs down. I set straight to thumbs up and downing after I had selected my pops I already owned.
Within a couple of days of subscribing and selecting to receive 1 pop per month I decided I wanted more and upped it to 2 per month which costs me £16.88 + £2.98 delivery per month. I was so excited to receive it and couldn't wait.
A few days ago I got my parcel and immediately took it upstairs to open and film my unboxing video.

I was so happy when I opened the box! I was instantly hit by a pack of orange flavoured popping candy - some pop for my pops - awesome!

Once I had realised what pops I had actually received I was over the moon! A Toy Wiz exclusive metallic Twilight Sparkle - as many of my YouTube subscribers already know I am a little bit of a My Little Pony fan but this is my very first MLP Funko Pop - I have the Target Exclusive Rainbow Dash vinyl figure, again thanks to the wonderful Stop That Animation, and a number of the Funko mystery minis but this is my very first POP! I also received the disappearing Cheshire Cat from Alice In Wonderland which I believe to be a Hot Topic Exclusive pop, though this isn't stickered so I aren't entirely sure, please correct me if I am wrong.

Needless to say I am so happy with my very first PIAB and will definitely be continuing with this service.

You can watch our very first Pop In A Box video on our YouTube channel or below.
Please also subscribe so you can keep up to date with all our other videos as well as our monthly PIAB :)

Disney Store Animator Collection Mini Play Sets

"Do you wanna build a snowman"

We have recently picked up these super adorable little doll sets from The Disney Store here in the UK. There are 5 sets available to collect so far; Elsa, Anna, Ariel, Cinderella and Jasmine - they can all be found on the Disney Store website by clicking here
We obviously immediately purchased the Elsa and Anna sets and I couldn't wait for them to arrive so I could see just how cute they were! I hadn't had any of the Animator Collection dolls previously as I hadn't been able to get hold of them so I was so excited to get these.
The first video we uploaded was giving a quick overview of both the Elsa and Anna sets and also opening and reviewing the Anna set, which comes with a super cute Sven, sled, 2 trolls and a super sparkly mini Anna doll.

You can watch the first video below :)

We then uploaded our Elsa set opening and review. Elsa comes complete with a super sparkle Olaf - with spring loaded nose, a straw hat, lute and summer drink, a little ice hill for Olaf to slide down and as with the Anna set there is a super sparkly mini Elsa doll.

These sets cost me £15.95 each and they come in super sweet little carry cases which are coloured to suit their princesses - Elsa's case is ice blue with a super sparkly blue handle while Anna's is pink with a sparkly pink handle.
The dolls are among some of the cutest dolls I have ever owned, their faces are simply beautiful and I love how they have gone for the kawaii style eyes. Both sets come complete with a mini hair brush, again in a complementing colour to the casing, although I personally wouldn't brush Anna's hair as it is set in such a cute way that I would hate to ruin it. Sven comes with a mouth which you can open and close and also a small bunch or carrots for him to eat. He also attaches to the sled via his harness which simply clips over his body and then slots into the small holes on the sled - now this is the only thing I would change about this set. The plastic pegs which are inserted into the holes in the sled seem to be a little weak so if you are like me and intend on displaying them back in their cases you may want to be very careful when disconnecting the harness from the sled - other than that these sets are a fantastic addition to any Frozen collection or even any doll collection.
